Mission Statement.. The NightFlier's of Lucifer's Den offers foremost to be a haven for Vampires within an organization which seeks to unite true vampirism with a common purpose. Here, vampires are encouraged to share with others of our kind the experiences of this life, and to also learn from one another. Lucifer's Den seeks to further the dark movement amomg other souls of this world so that we will become better known. We of the NightFlier's share a common bond with the satanists here in the empowering and development of the self and the application of this self development in our lives. We realize there are many differences among us and we welcome those differences. All true vampires are welcome in this body for most have already experienced the persecution from those religious zelots whose self-rightousness and lack of understanding have caused us harm among the populace of our society. We therefore seek along with our satanist friends to fight the misconceptions about us put forth by media and the secular religous order of the world. We are true vampires, and that is enough. 1) What our goals are and what would we like to see Lucifers Den do. Well.. I see your organization Brian, as being one for the education of all on what satanism and vampirism are. This is an important purpose for this group and other groups to correct the misconceptions the general public have about us. I also see this organization providing a home for all to share what they know and learn the same from others here. I also hope that there would be a certain commaraderie and closeness between those here, for we have much in common. Meetings are important as is communication between us. I also think that each section should provide as much resource material for those who seek the information, which is why I developed the faqs on vampirism as well as other topics. 2) What personal goals do you have for Lucifers Den. What do you want to accomplish through the organization? As the High Vampire Priest of the NightFliers, I hope to lead this section of the Den to a better understanding of vampirism. My desire is education and support of all the vampires here. I also will assist you Brian in any way I can as you know with the work we have done together already. 3) What can we do to help everyone accomplish these goals? We need to have online meetings and we also need to coordinate our efforts in the communities we live in. So many do not have computer access, and it is those people we do not want to forget. What we do off of the computer is equally as important as what we do online. I have made a special effort this past year in getting an offline office setup for the Vamire Church for offline contact and offline mailings. I will do so with the NightFliers at my office in Austin, Tx. We are here to reach out to ourselves as well as those outside who seek the very knowledge and experience that we have and can offer. As many of you know, Lucifer's Den offers a haven for both satanism and vampirism. We are supportive of each other and recognize that we have much in common in this life. As your High Vampire Preist of the NightFlier's, I would like to introduce ourselves in this newsletter to all of you. The NightFlier's of Lucifer's Den are the resident vampires and I lead their cause here. I support the Denkeeper's (Brian Nalls) belief to provide a home for both satanism and vampirism at Lucifer's Den, as we both recognize the common bonds that we both have. It is these bonds we have for each other that I would like to speak about. Both satanism and vampirism are about the empowerment of the self. Knowledge is power and aids in the perservation of self. We both recognize that the development and achievement of our self serves to promote our lives and help in our survival. In this is where we work together. While satanism is a chosen belief path, vampirism is a life path with little choice. Vampirism is a life condition of abilities and needs which accompany a person into this life. In short vampirism is about the ability to acquire needed sources of energy. These include pranic sources such as in blood and sex and psychic/empathic sources such as that found in emotional energy and in the elements of the earth. It is important to note that the health of a vampire depends on the abilities to recieve and use this energy. That is what separates a vampire from a blood fetish or anyone else who could take or leave it with no adverse effects. In vampirism, there is a genuine need for these energy sources and vampires are highly sensitive to the energy changes around them. We all also have a common goal to educate the public about ourselves, for we both suffer from the public's misconceptions about who we are. The public equates satanism with the christian devil or satan depicted in religious writings. We all know that this is not what satanism is. Vampirism has also suffered in the same way. Thru media and film, vampires have been depicted as immortal blood sucking creatures that kill their victums. If we are to get our message across to the public, then it is thru organizations such as Lucifer's Den and the Vampire Church that we can do this. Here there is unity of purpose in this life and this must be one of our more important goals. I would like the NightFlier's here in Lucifer's Den to understand this unity of purpose that we have with the satanists here. It is our work that we do together that furthers the goals we have to educate both ourselves and the public. To know and understand each other, gives us more power in ourselves and over our destinys.
